Mathew Gilliat-Smith - CEO

Mathew Gilliat-Smith is CEO. An experienced CEO with 25 years in commercial management. Mathew has created four successful start-up businesses and has an impressive track record in sales and marketing. His background is in media, new media, software development and digital security.

As CEO of Fortium Technologies he built the company to become market leader in digital pre-release security through strong relationships with world leading entertainments companies. Prior career experience as CEO of Fortium ICA sold to MessageLabs/Symantec; Director of St Ives plc UK’s largest independent print group; Sales Director of Burrups’ international corporate finance managing print logistics for several government privatisations; Sales Manager at Richard Clay educational publishing division; and Assistant Publisher at Haymarket Media Group.

Tony Miles - CTO

Anthony Miles is CTO. He is the inventor of DST’s technologies and has won awards for software and electronics innovation. He is a qualified microelectronics engineer and his background is in electronics, software, sound engineering and broadcast. He has in depth project consultancy experience for Boehringer Ingelheim, Sony, Hitachi, Cable & Connect, AB Connectors and Whitbread. He is a co-founder of Fortium Technologies creating the innovative digital security solutions it provides today.

His prior career was at Echo Recording Studios, S4C (Channel 4 Wales, HTV, ITV, BBC Wales, BBC). He won the 1995 Welsh Office Award for Innovation in Acoustics Design; the 1996 Princes Trust Full Bursary Award for Innovation & Design; and 1997 Young Welsh Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Peter Worrall - Market & Research Director

Peter Worrall is Director of Research and Marketing. His background spans new media, publishing and the hospitality sectors. He is a co-founder of Fortium Technologies helping to grow it into an established and respected provider of digital security for the film and entertainment sector. Prior to this, as Editor of Insurance Specialist and Compliance Y2K, he successfully cross pollinated his relationships within the IT, Government and other business sectors. Earlier in his career he owned and managed businesses in the hospitality sector. His key role now is to research market opportunities for DST’s products and innovations.


Non-Executive Directors

Harold Morley

Dr Harold Morley is non-executive Chairman. An experienced entrepreneur, founder, chairman and CEO of five publicly traded companies and several private technology companies. He has raised $200m in funding for previous ventures.

Desmond Reeves

Desmond Reeves worked in employee benefit consulting for 18 years with Noble Lowndes, spending the final two years of this period in New York running the company's representative office whilst researching possible mergers and/or takeovers as part of the group's international expansion plans.

Returning to the UK in 1982, he formed his own consulting firm, Reeves Brown Associates (RBA), growing it to be one of the leading independent employee benefits and actuarial consulting firms in the UK. RBA was sold to the Jardine Matheson Group in 1995. Since that time, he has taken an active interest in a number of small to medium sized companies ranging from publishing, manufacturing and computer sciences to property.

Graham Spensley

Graham Spensley obtained an honours degree in Land Economy at Cambridge University. After four years with Weatherall Green & Smith, first in London and then in Paris, he joined Jones Lang Woothon's Paris office in 1986. He joined Capital & Continental in 1988.

Max Audley

Max Audley is a seasoned corporate lawyer who for many years was a senior partner at Olswangs, London and Hobson Audley. Max is directing legal governance, licensing agreements and overseeing contracts and fundraising closings.
